Our ever popular Watercolours Week is led this year by MICHAEL WARREN, one of the UK’s leading watercolour artists, famous for his landscapes and scenes of London. Michael is a professional artist and passionate teacher who gives over plenty of time to both group and individual work.

Your Watercolours Week holiday includes instruction and workshops, and you are encouraged to do as much, or as little painting and drawing as you wish. Workshops are held in the mornings and cover approaches to watercolour painting such as choosing a subject, composition, aspect, as well as technical demonstrations such as preparing surfaces and watercolour techniques. The workshops are adapted to the needs of the group or individual and we welcome people of all levels of experience.

Our approach is relaxed and informal and Michael will create an individual programme of artistic activity for each of our guests. Guests on our Watercolours Week will find new subjects to paint and continue to develop their skills and techniques or maybe try something new or more ambitious.

On Saturday we can arrange pick-up from Ancona Airport and take you to your apartment at rustic La Boccia. On the evening of your arrival there will be welcome local barbecue and a chance for you to meet your fellow artists and guests.

After breakfast each day, workshops and demonstrations led by Michael usually start around 9.30am, followed by individual work up until lunch at approximately 1.00pm. After lunch and a siesta, painting and individual direction will continue. There is then another break and a chance for you to relax and freshen up, followed by nightly trips to local restaurants, where your food and house wine is included in your holiday price.

Tuesdays are always kept free for you to visit the fantastic market town of Gubbio and there is also a tour of the Umbrian Gallery situated in historic Perugia, hosted by Michael on Thursdays.

Non-painting friends and partners are very welcome to share the convivial atmosphere and our local representative will be very happy to organise activities and excursions for them, if requested in advance.

The cost of the Watercolours Week holiday is £899 per person. This includes tuition, full-board in ensuite bedrooms, located in self-contained apartments (please let us know if you require a twin or double room). There is a reduction of £75 for non-painting guests. We are able to offer 3 single room accommodations on a first come first served basis, with no single supplement. The Watercolour week holidays are 7 days, 6 nights and will be available on the following dates:

17th March 2007 and 6th October 2007
